Suns win USSSA UFC XI tournament in 11U debut

The Central Florida Suns won the rain shortened USSSA UFC XI tournament this past weekend in Kissimee. The Suns went 2-0 in pool play on Saturday, defeating the Central Florida Silver Knights 13-2 and the West Boynton Vipers 6-0. This secured the #1 seed going into Sunday's bracket play. Due to Sunday's rain, the games were cancelled and the tournament final results reverted back to the pool play standings. This was the 3rd consecutive year that the Suns have won their first tournament moving up to a new age division.




Central Florida Suns 11U beat Central Florida Silver Knights 11U 13-2 in four innings on Saturday at Fortune Road Athletic Complex after an eight-run explosion in the third inning.

Central Florida Suns 11U scored in the third on an RBI single by Alejandro Rodriguez, , an RBI single by Sam Wilsky, an RBI single by Conner Flannery, , an error, and a wild pitch.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.


Conner went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for Central Florida Suns 11U.


Central Florida Suns 11U added three more runs in the top of the fourth. A error scored Ayden Bowers to get Central Florida Suns 11U on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Conner's single, plating Isaiah Eberheart.




Central Florida Suns 11U jumped out to an early lead on the West Boynton Vipers and captured a 6-0 victory on Saturday at Fortune Road Athletic Complex.

With six runs in the first three innings, Central Florida Suns 11U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A groundout by Ayden Bowers in the first inning and a groundout by Sam Wilsky, a passed ball, and a wild pitch during the second inning helped Central Florida Suns 11U put some runs on the board early.


Brayden Kintner did his best to jumpstart the offense for Central Florida Suns 11U, reaching base two times. He singled in the third inning.


Conner Flannery recorded the win for Central Florida Suns 11U. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. Conner struck out two, walked none and gave up four hits.
